June has always been a turning point for me. It’s the month where the warmth of summer wraps itself around my voice, where melodies feel lighter, freer—as if the season itself is inviting me to sing with renewed energy. As an opera singer, summer brings both excitement and challenge. through creative exploration. June is a fresh canvas, inviting me to step outside my comfort zone. This year, I’ve committed to learning a new repertoire, pushing my boundaries with unexpected genres. There’s something exhilarating about diving into unfamiliar waters, knowing that each challenge makes my artistry stronger.

However, with the sun comes the heat, the shifting schedules, and the outdoor performances—each element demands adaptability. But June? June feels like the first breath of possibility. I remember one particular June evening, standing at the edge of a garden stage, waiting to step into the light. It was my first outdoor recital, and I could hear the murmurs of an eager audience settling into their seats. The scent of blooming flowers filled the air, mixing with the electricity of anticipation. I took a deep breath and let the moment settle in.

Summer performances remind me of why I fell in love with opera in the first place—how every note carries emotion, how every space transforms into a stage. In these months, music becomes a bridge between tradition and spontaneity. But summer is also about rejuvenation. Beyond the performances, June is my chance to focus on vocal wellness—to adapt my technique, stay hydrated, and fine-tune my breath control under the shifting heat. It’s a time to listen to my body, to adjust, to evolve.

Opera thrives in grand theaters, but it also finds magic in intimate gardens, in moonlit terraces, and in city squares bustling with life. And as I sing into the June air, I am reminded—this art form is limitless, bound only by how far we are willing to take it.

This summer, I plan to take it further than ever. What does June bring for you?
